‘Aamir Khan helped us find IVF doctor, hosted Jwala Gutta for 10 months at his home,’ says Vishnu Vishal on why he asked actor to name their daughter | Bollywood News
Aamir Khan has played the saviour in many of his films, but Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal recently revealed how the superstar turned into one in real life for him and his wife, Indian badminton player Jwala Gutta. The actor not only stood them during their most difficult phase but also played a special role in their happiness — naming their newborn daughter, Mira.
In a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Vishnu shared the heartwarming story of how Aamir came to name their ba and why he holds a special place in their lives.
Vishnu and Aamir have known each other for years. Their friendship began in 2023 when Aamir’s mother, Zeenat Hussain, had to undergo medical treatment in Chennai. At that time, Aamir reached out to Vishnu to help find a homestay for his family. Recalling how their friendship began, Vishnu said, “He was in production for a movie then, and they needed me to find a home stay instead of a hotel for 2-3 months so his team would find enough space to work. I remember arranging villas for them to stay, and we became friends from there.”
However, their bond grew even deeper when Aamir stepped in to help Vishnu and Jwala during one of the most emotional chapters of their lives. Vishnu, who calls Aamir “the greatest gift God has given” him, revealed that the couple had struggled to conceive and had almost decided to adopt a child. That’s when Aamir came to their rescue and recommended a fertility special in Mumbai.

He said, “He helped us find a good doctor in Mumbai for IVF treatment for Jwala. And when she became pregnant, it made us very emotional because she had almost given up… he brought back joy into our lives. He treated us like nothing less than family.”
Aamir’s support didn’t end there. He also hosted Jwala at his Mumbai home during her pregnancy. Vishnu shared how the Khan family personally took care of her for months, making them feel completely at home. “Jwala was in Mumbai with his family for almost ten months, and his mom and ser took care of her personally. They treated her so well. That bond has now evolved into a close friendship,” he said.
Given the pivotal role Aamir played in their journey to parenthood, the couple felt it was only fitting that he name their daughter. Vishnu recalled, “When Jwala became pregnant, I told Aamir he should be the one to name our ba, because he was the one to give us hope.” The superstar later attended the couple’s naming ceremony and named their ba girl Mira.
