Nasseruddin Shah, Saif Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Ratna Pathak Shah, Pooja Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt were among the stars who came together to be a part of the inaugural night of the Prithvi Theatre Festival on Saturday, November 1. Photos from the event have been shared on the social media page of the theatre.
The event is a 17-day-long festival, which aims to feature live performances and vibrant workshops at the iconic theatre in Juhu. The event will run until November 17.

The official handle of Prithvi Theatre has shared a series of pictures from the inaugural night and it features Naseeruddin Shah, Saif Ali Khan, Neena Gupta and a few others dancing and posing together. Actors like Vinay Pathak, Aahana Kumra, Bandish Bandits fame actor Shreya Chaudhry, Divya Dutta, Zoya Akhtar, actor Makarand Deshpande, Pratik Gandhi, designer Masaba Gupta, her husband-actor Satyadeep Mishra were also a part of the gathering. Vishal and Rekha Bhardwaj and rapper Slow Cheetah were seen at the event.

The photos were shared with the caption, “An evening of celebration, connection, and theatre’s timeless charm. Here’s to the warmth, the respect, and the magic that opened Prithvi Festival 2025.”

In the comment section of the post, Dia Mirza reacted saying, “Missed being with you all so much , while Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan wrote, “So upset that I missed this!”
Earlier, sharing details about the festival, Zahan Kapoor, a trustee of Prithvi Theatre, shared with The Indian Express, “This year, we have allotted theatre groups, who are presenting their play, two days each. Most of them are staging three shows and some are doing four.”
Speaking about the festival, Kunal Kapoor, another trustee of Prithvi Theatre, shared, “The festival has always been about giving back and rejuvenating the world of theatre — for both performers and audiences. It’s a celebration of the performing arts, of our community, and of our roots.”Story continues below this ad
The festival will also host a series of workshops, including the ones Naseeruddin Shah and Shernaz Patel. As part of NT Live, screenings of A Streetcar Named Desire, Inter Alia and Present Laughter will be held.
