Imran Khan’s ser ‘manhandled’, ‘violently detained’ outside Adiala jail in Pakan, claims PTI | World News

The political party of Pakan’s former Prime Miner Imran Khan, Pakan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has alleged that the police “manhandled” and “violently detained” the jailed leader’s sers outside Adiala jail in Rawalpindi. They were denied a weekly meeting with the party founder, reported Pakani news website Dawn.
PTI posted on X, alleging Aleema Khan, Noreen Niazi and Dr Uzma Khan were “sitting peacefully” outside the Adiala jail late on Tuesday when the incident took place. The PTI further said that apart from Imran Khan’s ser, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Miner Meena Khan Afridi, Member of the National Assembly of Pakan Shahid Khattak and other PTI workers, including women were “subjected to violence and picked up police”.

PTI, in the X post added, “What should be routine weekly court-mandated family visits, in accordance with Imran Khan’s rights as a prisoner, are being used as a tool of oppression and violence against his family members and supporters.”

In one of the videos shared the party on X, Aleema and Uzma could be seen gathered around Noreen, who reportedly appears visibly shaken after the “violent action” the authorities as Aleema said, “They were dragging [her] on the road,” Dawn reported.
Narrating the incident that took place outside Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, Noreen, in another video shared PTI, said she was grabbed her hair and forced down to the ground women police officers. Asserting that PTI workers were sitting peacefully outside the prison, Noreen said, “I didn’t understand it. I still don’t understand what happened.”
Imran Khan was sentenced to 14 years in prison over a corruption case in a series of charges pressed against him the adminration. He has been behind the bars since being detained in August 2023. Khan has received charges from over 100 cases, including leaking state secrets to selling state gifts.
