Varun Dhawan credits trolls for making Border 2 song go viral: ‘God is great’ | Bollywood News

The remake of one of Bollywood’s most beloved war films is about to hit the theatres, as Border 2’s release date inches closer. The Anurag Singh directorial is already under a lot of pressure, considering the pedestal that the original film is kept on. Remakes are always the target of naysayers, and since the release of the ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ song, trolls have started picking apart the song and actor Varun Dhawan in particular. The actor’s comments section has lately been filled with people questioning his performance, and to everyone’s surprise, Varun actually responded.
The actor took to his Instagram account and posted a carousel of pictures. Clad in a black suit, he wrote in the caption, “Major Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya. Thank you for the love 😉.” One of the comments under the picture asked Varun about the criticism he had been facing for his acting and wrote, “Bhai, apki acting pe sawal utha rahe hai log, uske liye kya bolege (People are questioning your acting skills. What would you like to say to them? To which Varun replied, “Yeh sawaal ne gaana hit karadia. Sab enjoy kar rahe hai. Rab di mehar. (This question made the song go viral. Everyone is having a good time. God is great).

Many appreciated Varun’s wit and lauded him for the nature of his reply. However, the comments section was filled with many more trolls bashing the actor’s performance in the song. However, Varun seems unfazed the whole ordeal and seems to be prepared for the release of the film. During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on X (formerly Twitter), Varun came up with answers which again showcased his wit and patience. When a user pointed out that except for his moustache, his physique is still the same, Varun replied, “No no. I have grown an extra hand as well. Please properly dekhna (look carefully).”
