OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro names confirmed by Amazon India affiliate page; launch likely soon
OnePlus’ unannounced flagship series OnePlus 8 was spotted listed on Amazon India affiliate page ahead of its official launch, seemingly confirming the arrival of the devices.
A twitter user spotted the names of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro listed under “Mobile Phones at 1 per cent Fixed Advertising Fee category” on the e-commerce giant’s affiliate page. Both the phones were seen listed alongside the existing OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition, 7T and 7 Pro.
The listing not only confirms the names of OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro but also suggests the imminent launch of the phones in India.
The phones are expected to be accompanied by a toned-down version too which might be called OnePlus 8 Lite. However, there is no mention about the phone on the Amazon affiliate page.
As for the specs, the OnePlus 8 Pro is tipped to sport a 6.65-inch Quad HD+ display with a refresh rate as high as 120Hz. It is expected to feature a punch-hole cutout at the left side of the screen and curved edges. The phone is further likely to get Qi wireless charging support and 5G-connectivity. There could be Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM options.
The standard OnePlus 8, on the other hand, may bring a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate.
This could be the first time OnePlus may bring wireless charging support in its flagship phones. Till now the Chinese phone maker has stayed away from the technology to keep the affordable pricing.
