CM attends new Parliament foundation-laying virtually
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday laid the foundation stone of the new Parliament House of the country in Delhi. Foundation-laying and bhoomi pujan was performed amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. An all-religions prayer was held at the venue. Prime Minister Modi also unveiled the rock plaque.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was virtually present at the event through video conferencing. Chief Minister Chouhan wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extending heartiest greetings and best wishes on the historic and glorious occasion of the foundation laying of the new Parliament building, on behalf of the eight crore people of the state.
He has expressed confidence that this work will be completed within the time limit due to the amazing will power of the Prime Minister and India’s new Parliament House will become renowned worldwide.
Through the letter, Chief Minister Chouhan said that under the able leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian democracy has set new steps of development and has proved the resolve of public welfare and self-reliance on the principles of public interest and inclusive development while coming up to people’s expectations.
Chouhan said that once again it is a glorious moment for India in front of the whole world, when the work of the temple of democracy i.e. Parliament House and other important offices is going to start in the country’s capital of the country. The foundation stone of an ambitious project is being laid. This precious moment is witness to India’s democratic tradition and heritage.
