CM, Scindia discuss political appointments
After the by-elections have been conducted, there was a show of strength by senior party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia to get his MLAs inducted in the Cabinet and supporters in Boards and Corporations.
On Friday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia had lengthy deliberations over political appointments in boards and corporations. Those in the hunt primarily from Scindia camp too reached CM House as the talks were on.
Scindia is trying to get his staunch supporters –Tulsiram Silawat and Govind Singh Rajput on board in Cabinet. Both have won bypolls with sizable margins. Besides, Scindia is seeking political appointments for his loyalists former MLAs—Imarti Devi, Aidal Singh Kansana and Girraj Dandotiya, who have lost bypolls.
Sources claimed that after several hours of talks, it was decided that Kansana and Imarti Devi will be accommodated in boards and corporation appointments.
The meeting also attended by state head VD Sharma, org general secretary Hitanand Sharma and others also discussed organisational appointments and cabinet
expansion.It was interesting that Scindia had a virtual show of strength as he reached CM House with the cavalcade comprising 40 vehicles.
