Chief Minister pays homage to Pt Udhavdas Mehta
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to the freedom fighter and famous social worker Late Pandit Uddhav Das Mehta on his death anniversary.
Chief Minister Chouhan paid floral tributes at the statue of Pandit Mehta at Kamala Park at Upper Lake. Citizens including former MLA Ramesh Sharma “Guttu Bhaiya”, Gopal Das Mehta, Saurabh Mehta, Mukesh Goyal, Kailash Mishra, Mahesh Saini were present.
Chouhan said that Late Pandit Mehta devoted his entire life to Indian culture, Indian traditions and rites. He was completely devoted to social service, merger movement and freedom struggle.
Pandit Mehta was also a famous and competent Vaidya. He served all sections of the society with equality. He was born on 9 August 1911 and passed away on 20 February 1986.
