MP creates new history in women empowerment: CM
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh has created new history in women empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Women’s self-help groups have created a revolution in women empowerment under Aajeevika Mission in Madhya Pradesh.
Today women self-help groups are engaged in many things like nutritional food manufacturing, uniform manufacturing, brick making from fly ash, buying wheat on support price, running ration shops etc. Nutrition food will be prepared by women self-help groups in the nutrition food plant being started in Dewas on Tuesday.
Chouhan said that on International Women’s Day today, four important decisions have been taken for women empowerment in the state. Women Finance Development Corporation will be strengthened in the state, second – Mukhya Mantri Nari Samman Kosh will be established in the state at a cost of Rs 100 crore. Thirdly, the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyam Shakti Yojana will be started and industrial parks will be set up in Indore and Bhopal for the promotion of women’s enterprises.
The Chief Minister and MP JP Nadda handed over the key to the nutritional food plant to women self-help groups on International Women’s Day in Dewas on Tuesday. He disbursed Rs 300 crore loan to women self-help groups through bank linkage. Tool kits were provided to women for working in Jal Jeevan Mission. Women’s cluster level organizations were awarded. A booklet of success stories of Self Help Groups was also released. The programme started with kanya-pujan.
Chouhan said that amazing work has been done in the direction of women empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Madhya Pradesh is ahead in the implementation of all schemes like Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Yojana, Registry in the name of women of Pradhan Mantri Awas, Ujjwala connection, ration supply, Aajeevika mission etc.
The government takes full care of women from birth till their last breath in Madhya Pradesh. There are more than 41 lakh Ladli Lakshmis in the state, who become millionaires as soon as they are born. Rs 25,000 is being given to girls on their admission in college and Rs 5,000 per year for studies. Along with this, the government also pays the fees for courses like medical, engineering etc. From the month of April, the government will get girls married with much pomp and show.
Chouhan said that for the empowerment of women, 50 percent reservation is being given to women in Madhya Pradesh in the elections of local bodies and recruitment of government teachers, 30 percent in police department and 33 percent for women in other recruitments. Women should move forward and progress in life, you have the blessings of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and your brother Shivraj’s support.
MP JP Nadda said that Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country in women empowerment. Earlier, nutritional food was being prepared through contractors. Now women self-help groups in the state will do this work. It will give new vision and direction to women empowerment. Women will generate about Rs 800 crore every year. Chouhan deserves to be congratulated for this commendable work.
Nadda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Poshan Abhiyan in the year 2018 for women empowerment through which, women and children are being empowered by providing nutritious food. 74 lakh self-help groups have been formed.

In Madhya Pradesh, 40 lakh women are working in 3.5 lakh self-help groups. In the next three years, 25 lakh more women will join the self-help groups in the state. Loans worth Rs 2525 crore will be given to women groups in one year at the lowest rate of interest which will definitely give new dimensions to women empowerment.
MP Shri Nadda said that there has been a significant hike in the male-female ratio in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier 918 daughters were born on one thousand, now their number has increased to 958. Women are given 6 months maternity leave and financial assistance of Rs. 6 thousand besides free treatment under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana. The government is committed and determined to honour women. As many as 11 crore Izzat Ghars (toilets) have been constructed in the country and 66 lakh Izzat Ghars have been constructed in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, 3 crore 70 lakh women have been linked with Jan Dhan accounts. Shri Nadda said that Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and women have an important role in that progress.
