Employment, priority of the state government: CM
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that employment is the priority of the state government. Under the Mukhya Mantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, loans ranging from Rs one lakh upto Rs 50 lakh will be made available to the youth for manufacturing, business and service sectors. Interest subsidy of 3 percent will be given to the youth taking loans.
Under the scheme, the youth will not have to give bank guarantee, the government will take the guarantee on behalf of the youth. For this, the state government will deposit an amount of Rs 140 crore in banks. The youth of those families whose annual income is up to Rs 12 lakh, will be able to get loans under this scheme. This scheme has brought new hope for the youth of the state. Today, loans worth about Rs 108 crore were provided to 2019 youth. Every month one day is being celebrated by the state government as Employment Day. Providing employment is like a Yagya for us.
Chouhan was addressing a state level programme at the launch of Mukhya Mantri Udyami Kranti Yojana at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center, Bhopal. The programme was presided over by Omprakash Sakhlecha, Minister of Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises and Science and Technology. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh and Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silawat, Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Finance Minister Jagdish Deora, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Bisahulal Singh, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Castes Welfare Minister Meena Singh, Animal Husbandry and Social Justice Minister Prem Singh Patel, New and Renewable Energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dang and Minister of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Rajvardhan Singh, Minister of State for Horticulture and Food Processing Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Ram Khilawan Patel, Minister of State for AYUSH Ram Kishore Kanwre, Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing O.P.S Bhadauria and Chairman of Employment Board Shailendra Sharma were also present in the programme.
Chouhan has said that every youth of the state should have a smile on his face, should be brimming with self-confidence. Youth should become self-dependent, the state government is committed to providing employment.
Mukhya Mantri Udyami Kranti Yojana is the beginning of a revolution in the state. Livelihood is the biggest concern of an individual, so the state government is trying for holistic employment and self-employment.
A campaign has also been launched for recruitment in government service. School teachers, health workers have been recruited. Along with this, the process of recruitment on the posts of Police Constable is in progress. He said that it is a reality that not all youth can get government jobs. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange for self-employment. Employment opportunities are being created by bringing investment in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that in order to celebrate one day every month as Employment Day in the state, Rs. 2700 crore was approved for self-employment to more than 5 lakh 25 thousand beneficiaries on the first employment day on January 12, on February 25 on the second employment day Rs 2776 crore was approved for over 5 lakh 2 thousand beneficiaries for self-employment and on the third employment day on March 30, more than loan assistance of Rs 2,268 crore was approved for more than 3 lakh 33 thousand beneficiaries. In this way, in the last three months, 13 lakh 63 thousand youth have been linked to self-employment in various schemes. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is my dream that youth of the state should become job givers and not job seekers.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is a matter of joy that more than 650 new units have been established in the state for which more than Rs 40 thousand crore has to be invested. This will create one lakh new employment opportunities. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the growth rate of the state this year is 19.7 percent, which is the highest in the country. The GDP of the state has increased to 11.5 lakh crores. The contribution of the state to the country’s GDP has increased from 3.6 percent to 4.6 percent. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the state has undertaken export worth Rs 40 thousand crore this year. Wheat and rice grown in the state are being used by the countries of the world. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that our Madhya Pradesh is growing.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Swami Vivekananda used to say that man is not just made of flesh and blood, but is a unit of God and a storehouse of infinite power. There is nothing in the world that he cannot do. Those who try to implement their thinking are successful. Referring to various successful start-ups of Indore, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that new ideas are of great importance in starting a business according to the new environment and changing technology. Youth should innovate in the business sector, the state government supports them.
