Shivraj signs nomination papers of Draupadi Murmu
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has signed the nomination paper of Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu as First Seconder. At the same time, he said that Draupadi Murmu is the driver of social change and her becoming the President is a matter of pride for the entire tribal and women’s society.
The CM signed in the presence of Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupendra Yadav and Arjun Ram Meghwal at Prahlad Joshi’s residence in New Delhi. On this occasion, he tweeted that “It is my great fortune that the first woman of the tribal society of India and the second woman presidential candidate of the country, respected Draupadi Murmu ji’s nomination paper as the first second (first supporter). Got the opportunity to do it.” He said that “I am sure that respected Draupadi Murmu ji will not only prove to be a strong voice of the tribal and weaker sections, but the progress of the nation will also get a new impetus.”
He further went on saying that Draupadi Murmu is a strong woman dedicated to struggle, justice and values. Her life and social work has always been inspiring. She is the custodian of Indian cultural values and a pioneer of tribal upliftment. The CM wrote that the BJP-led NDA alliance has not only shown respect to all sections of the society but also exposed the dark era of Congress rule, in which honour and position were distributed to its people.
Expressing gratitude on being the first seconder he write on twitter “It is my great fortune that I got the opportunity to sign the nomination papers of the first women from tribal society and the second woman Presidential candidate of the country, Draupadi Murmu ji.”
