Earlier, after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, Arijit Singh had cancelled his concert in Chennai, which was supposed to be held on April 27. Like Arijit, Shreya Ghoshal had also cancelled her concert. Shreya cancelled her Surat concert, part of her All Hearts Tour, after the Pahalgam terror attack. AP Dhillon had also announced the postponement of his upcoming album release after the tragic attack.

Arijit decided to cancel his Abu Dhabi concert after India launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation to the Pahalgam attack, hitting terror infrastructure in Pakan and Pakan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Hours after India hit terror infrastructure, Pakan resorted to heavy artillery fire along the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch dricts in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian government also said in a statement that Pakan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles, which were neutralised.
