After Priyanka Chopra picks hot dogs over vada pav, Nick Jonas shares his love for Indian cuisine, especially pickles: ‘We also like chicken biryani’ | Bollywood News

‘National jiju’ is the name Nick Jonas was given his Indian fans after he got married to Priyanka Chopra. Since then, he has visited India multiple times and even performed in Mumbai. In a recent interaction, Nick spoke about his love for Indian cuisine and named his favourite dishes, thus making it evident that he loves Indian culture.
Speaking with UK radio brand Heart, Nick shared he usually orders from an Indian restaurant at dinner and expressed his fondness for pickles — which is often highly recommended his wife, Priyanka Chopra. Revealing the dishes that he orders usually, he said, “Butter chicken, paneer, saag paneer, masala paneer, raita — we got to have that — naan. Then, we like the chicken biryani. We usually have a big order, and we always overorder,” he said, before adding, “But the key is the pickles.”
While in this interaction Nick talked about his love for pickles, Priyanka, too, has in many interviews spoken about her love for Indian pickles. The actor has shared on multiple occasions how she loves aam ka achar and how she often enjoys it even with sandwiches. Looks like Nick picked up his love for pickles from Priyanka.

Earlier, the singer had also shared his love for paneer. In an interview with Today magazine, Nick was asked about his favourite Indian dish, and pat came the reply, “Paneer…it’s the best.” When further asked to choose between samosa and paneer, he said, “I do… but am more of a paneer guy.”
It may be recalled that Priyanka had recently faced trolling after she picked hotdogs over vada pav during an interview. She also  seemed confused while choosing between samosas and empanadas, and looked conflicted when she was given the choice between enchiladas and chicken tikka masala. Fans weren’t happy with her choices as one comment read, “She is not our ‘desi’ girl anymore; she is a ‘pardesi’ girl.” Meanwhile, another one commented, “Hot dog over vada pav, absolute blasphemy.”

Not just food, Nick is also a fan of Bollywood music. In an earlier interview with InStyle magazine, Priyanka revealed that he loves Bollywood music. “Lening to Bollywood music has become his hype music before a concert. It’s really funny. I went to the Jonas Brothers concert and I walk into the dressing room and I was like, ‘Wait, what?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, babe, it’s my hype music!’ I was like, ‘I have created a monster, it’s great.’ It’s amazing how he embraces it,” she had said.
On the professional front, Priyanka is currently shooting for SSMB 29 with Mahesh Babu, directed SS Rajamouli, in Hyderabad. She was last seen in Heads of State.
