Airtel unveils new IPTV plans that bundle Wi-Fi, OTT and TV channels: Here’s what you need to know | Technology News

Airtel has launched IPTV services across 2000 Indian cities, offering high speed internet, TV channels and entertainment options with a single plan. The Indian telecom said these plans “seamlessly blends traditional linear TV with a bouquet of streaming apps for an immersive digital experience.”
Starting from Rs 699, Airtel’s new IPTV plans come with 350 TV channels, high-speed internet and lets users enjoy content from up to 29 streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, Zee5 and more. The telecom operator is also offering an introductory offer where users can enjoy up to 30 days of free IPTV if they purchase any of the plans via the Airtel Thanks app.
However, Airtel’s new plans are unavailable in Delhi, Rajasthan and North Eastern states, but the company says it will bring IPTV to these regions in the coming weeks. But since is yet to share a timeline, chances are users may have to wait longer before the service is available in their region.

To enjoy Airtel’s new IPTV plans, just buy the IPTV bundle embedded with Wi-Fi plans and you are good to go. Alternatively, you can also purchase them from the Airtel Thanks app or head over to your nearest Airtel store. For exing customers, getting IPTV is as easy as upgrading your exing plan from either the app or physical stores.
Airtel IPTV plans: How much do they cost?
Airtel’s cheapest IPTV plan comes with a 40 Mbps Wi-Fi connection, access to 350 TV channels and content from 26 streaming apps. It is priced at Rs 699.
If you want higher broadband speeds, the Rs 899 comes with a 100 Mbps internet connection, 350 TV channels and access to 26 streaming platforms.
For those looking for Apple TV+ and faster internet, the Rs 1,099 plan makes more sense as it offers 200 Mbps internet speed, access to 28 streaming platforms and 350 TV channels.Story continues below this ad
Next up is the Rs 1,599 plan, which comes with 300 Mbps W-Fi, access to 29 streaming apps including Netflix and 350 TV channels.
The most expensive amongst the lot is the Rs 3,999 plan, which comes with 1 Gbps connection, access to 29 streaming apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+ and 350 TV channels.
