Aishwarya Rai’s luxury car hit BEST bus, actor not present inside; Amitabh Bachchan’s security guard under the scanner | Bollywood News

A bus hit Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai’s luxury car in Mumbai’s Juhu suburb on Wednesday, an official said, adding nobody was injured in the accident. A video showing the high-end car, with the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking’s ubiquitous red bus behind it, went viral on social media.
The video shows the car, which apparently did not suffer any major damage due to the accident, speeding off a while later. As per a BEST official, the bus was coming from the Juhu bus depot. The BEST official also said that post the accident, a security guard from the residence of Aishwarya Rai’s father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan stepped out and allegedly slapped the bus driver. “The bus driver got down to see the damage suffered the car. At this point, a bouncer from a near bungalow came out and slapped the driver,” he said, as per PTI.

After the driver called the police control room, a team promptly arrived on the spot. “When the police arrived, supervisory staff from the bungalow apologised to the bus driver. The driver ended the matter at this point and steered the bus towards Santacruz suburban station. No complaint or FIR was regered,” the official added.
It was not clear initially if Aishwarya was inside the car. While the video caused concern among fans, a source later told India Today, “People close to the actor have confirmed that she is absolutely fine and there was no ‘accident.’” The police also confirmed that no case was filed as the matter was resolved amicably among both parties on the spot.
On the work front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s 2023 hit Tamil period drama Ponniyin Selvan: II, which also starred Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Karthi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others. Produced Mani Ratnam’s banner Madras Talkies, the film released in two parts, in 2022 and 2023 respectively. It’s an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1954 horical fiction novel of the same name. Aishwarya and Vikram reunited in the film 12 years after Mani Ratnam’s 2010 crime drama Raavanan.
