Featuring Ranveer Singh alongside Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi, the film released on December 5 and has already crossed Rs 600 crore mark with its worldwide box office collection.
With this, Dhurandhar has surpassed Padmaavat with ease to become Ranveer Singh’s highest-grossing film of all time. The 2018 film Padmaavat made a whopping Rs 560 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Dhurandhar’s phenomenal performance is also reflected in its overall two-week figures. the end of week 1, the film made Rs 207.25 Cr India net, while in it’s week 2, the film has so far made Rs 412.18 Cr.
Directed Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows the story of an Indian spy named Hamza who infiltrates Pakan’s crime world.
The film is inspired real-life events, ranging from the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
Aditya Dhar’s action-adventure Dhurandhar has been regering houseful shows across the country and also in several centres in Jammu & Kashmir, including smaller towns such as Shopian and Pulwama, where theatrical exhibition has remained limited. Strong audience turnout at these locations indicates renewed demand for cinema-going in the region, underscoring the appetite for big-screen entertainment even in towns without multiplex infrastructure.

Preity Zinta finally saw Dhurandhar and took to X to post her review which read, “Today was a fun day. After a long time I saw a movie in a theatre myself. The afternoon show was Packed & WOW what a ride it was ! It’s probably one of the best films I have seen in a long time. Raw & real, adorned with flawless performances @RanveerOfficial , Akshaye, @duttsanjay , @ActorMadhavan, @rampalarjun , Sara Arjun, @bolbedibol, @gauravgera and every other actor.
