Targeting the Congress, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that their governments had looted the state exchequer and deprived people of basic rights leading to lawlessness in the state.
“Only such people are not admiring our work during whose tenure power was merely the synonym for anarchy, corruption and hooliganism. The SP, the BSP, and the Congress were are involved in this. They never had development on their minds. And now when their anti-development facade has been exposed, the citizens have been rejecting them since 2014,” Yogi said addressing rallies in Aligarh, Rampur and Saharanpur on Friday.
Mentioning development works, the Chief Minister said that during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure, around three crore people got houses.
“Ayushman Yojana has become a boon for the destitutes. Free houses and cooking gas connections have been distributed among the poor. Farmers of the state have benefited from Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana. Both Central and UP governments have been working continuously to double the income of farmers. By making farmers happy, we want to realise the dreams of Chaudhary Charan Singh,” he said.
Yogi Adityanath further said, “Congress only gave us terrorism and corruption and insulted Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar by granting special status to Kashmir under Article 370.”
The Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party had achieved what other parties could not achieve in 70 years while in power.
“Congress needs power for loot, and the SP and the BSP continued with its corrupt practices. The BJP brought an end to all this and paved the way for prosperity of people,” Yogi Adityanath said.
In an election meeting at Iglas in Aligarh, Yogi said that Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh played a significant role in establishing Aligarh Muslim University by giving land but his name was not mentioned on any plaque.
“The government is reviving the lock industry of Aligarh through One District, One Product’ scheme,” he said.
The Chief Minister also mentioned several schemes of the Central and UP governments and said that all sections of society were being benefited under BJP regime in a transparent manner.
