‘Maybe they’ll sell to India someday’: Trump announces ‘massive’ oil deal with Pakan | World News

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that his adminration has struck a deal with Pakan wherein the two countries are poised to work together to develop Islamabad’s oil reserves.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said “We have just concluded a deal with the country of Pakan, where Pakan and the United States will work together on developing their massive oil reserves.”
Adding to the post, Trump said “We are in the process of choosing the Oil Company that will lead this Partnership. Who knows, maybe they’ll be selling oil to India some day.”

The announcement President Trump comes days after Secretary of State Marco Rubio held meeting with Pakani Foreign Miner Ishaq Dar in the United States. Following the meeting, Dar had said a trade deal with the US was “very close”.
The announcement Trump comes hours after he announced a 25% tariff on Indian products and said that “an unspecified penalty” would also be imposed on India for buying Russian oil and weapons.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump had said the measures on India would be implemented from August 1 onwards and said “They have always bought a vast majority of their military equipment from Russia, and are Russia’s largest buyer of ENERGY, along with China, at a time when everyone wants Russia to STOP THE KILLING IN UKRAINE — ALL THINGS NOT GOOD.”
