IPL: Rajasthan Royals coach bemoans lack of bowling partnerships in LSG loss | Ipl News

Rajasthan Royals seemed to be in prime position to win their match against the Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday but faltered at the finish of their run chase. Initially, a disciplined bowling performance from the Royals was sunk a Sandeep Sharma over where Abdul Samad smashed him for four sixes. That 27-run over let the total go up to 180 – a target that seemed chaseable at one point, but in the end the Royals suffered a two-run loss.
Rajasthan bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule lamented the performance and said that the lack of bowling partnerships was hampering the results of the team.
“If it is batting or bowling, you need partnerships. We may be lacking at times with the bowling partnerships. Death overs are so hard for all the bowlers in this format. Not only ours but other bowlers have also been trying to execute to the best of their ability. But it is a tough time for any bowler to bowl,” Bahutule said after the game on Saturday night.

Bahutule then said that in this situation of the IPL where every bowler could be found out, the focus of the team’s unit would remain on the process and the hope was that that approach would lead to better results in their upcoming games.
“Every game, we try to see how a bowler can go there and express himself and give his best. That’s what the process has been. We have been focusing on the process. The results are not in our control, but we have a few games left. So, you never know, we can just get on a winning streak and cover up these couple of games,” Bahutule, a former India international, added.
Rajasthan have mustered only two wins from their eight matches. They are currently eighth on the Indian Premier League table and will next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday.
