Just three days ago, Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram to announce her wedding with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru (of The Family Man fame). The news instantly dominated social media, with fans celebrating the couple and gushing over the warm images from their intimate ceremony held in Coimbatore on December 1. Now, Samantha’s close friend Meghna Vinod has shared a fresh set of photographs from the mehendi ceremony, offering yet another glimpse into the couple’s joyful moments.
In the photo dump, Samantha is seen beaming as she flaunts her mehendi, while Raj stands behind her, capturing the design, and her wide-eyed smile, on his phone. Another picture shows Samantha glowing during the traditional varmala ceremony, holding the garland and unable to take her eyes off Raj. The dump also includes a shot of Samantha stepping out of her room in her red saree, as well as a candid frame of Meghna and Samantha sitting together on a sofa, both showing off their mehendi.
Meghna accompanied the post with an emotional note. “What I saw is a love that uplifts yet steadies, lens yet strengthens, calms yet sets free. Watching you get married, I’ve seen a new kind of happiness in you @samantharuthprabhuoffl and I couldn’t be happier for you. I also have to say how lucky I am… I gained a brother for life in Raj. Love you both so much. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.”
While fans online continued to gush over the newly surfaced images, the celebrations were also met with a wave of speculation, about the couple’s relationship, Raj’s ex-wife Shhyamali, and even rumours questioning whether the filmmaker was legally divorced. Amid the chatter, Raj’s ser Sheetal shared a family portrait from the wedding on Instagram, featuring herself, their parents, her sons, and the newly married couple. Her caption attempted to settle the noise, noting these were “not tears of pain… but tears of gratitude.” She added: “Gratitude for the peace I feel in this moment, for the clarity that has settled around our family, and for the deep sense of ‘gentle alignment’ in Raj and Samantha’s journey.”

Samantha reshared Meghna’s post with the caption: “A 20 year old friendship that grows stronger and stronger every year.” And while reposting the photo from the varmala ceremony, she added a witty remark: “The moment when you realise you are his problem now.” She also reshared another batch of photos uploaded styl Pallavi Singh. In one them, she’s seen walking ahead of Raj and screenwriter-editor Sita R Menon right after the varmala ceremony, glowing with happiness.
Samantha and Raj first worked together the Prime Video series The Family Man, followed Citadel: Honey Bunny, where their relationship is reported to have blossomed. Previously, Samantha was married to actor Naga Chaitanya; the couple separated in 2021 after four years of marriage. Naga is now married to actor Sobhita Dhulipala.
