Ashish Chanchalani trolls Ranveer Allahabadia as Diljit Dosanjh offers support: ‘Don’t crack jokes near me’ | Bollywood News

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia found himself in the middle of a huge controversy when a comment made him on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent was seen as objectionable on social media. After severe backlash, Ranveer issued an apology to his fans and followers, but that wasn’t seen as enough. Multiple FIRs were filed against him, Samay, and the other social media personalities on the panel, which included Ashish Chanchalani and Apoorva Mukhija. After a break of about two months, Ranveer returned on his social media handles and announced the “rebirth” of his podcast series on YouTube. Now, Ashish and Apoorva have shown their support for Ranveer in the comments section. Diljit Dosanjh, Munawar Faruqui, Orry and Nakuul Mehta have also extended their support.
Diljit Dosanjh, who has previously appeared on Ranveer’s podcast, is one of the few Bollywood celebrities who has publicly shown his support for him. Diljit liked Ranveer’s video where he announced the return of his podcast series. Ranveer also shared a bunch of photos on Instagram and got some support from his supporters there as well. Ashish wrote, “Love you, but next time you are meeting me please don’t crack jokes near me.” Apoorva wrote, “LESSSSSGOOOO BIG BROTHER.”
Comedian Munawar Faruqui wrote, “Jiyo aur jeeto bless you,” and actor Nakuul Mehta wrote, “Go @beerbiceps.” Podcaster Jay Shetty wrote, “Well said bro
.” Orry also shared a bunch of red heart emojis in the comments section.
Earlier, Tanmay Bhat also extended his support towards Ranveer as he joked in the comments section, “Missed you (not really) ” He also took a dig at Ranveer’s fall in subscriber count and wrote, “Nice of you to click photo with the only subscribers you have left.” Tanmay also made a joke on the supposed B Praak podcast that was cancelled the singer after the controversy. He wrote, “Like this comment if you want a B Praak podcast.”
Ranveer shared a video titled “Let’s Talk” on his social media where he thanked his followers and fans who stood him through his rough patch. He also thanked his team and said that no one quit when he was going through so much hate on social media. He said that moving forward, he would be more responsible about his content, “So many people consider me a son, so many people consider me a brother, mainly sorry to all of them. In the next 10, 20, 30 years, as long as I create content, I will create content with more responsibility.” He added, “So many kids also watch our show. Obviously, going forward, I will carry on my work with a lot of responsibility. I have a responsibility towards you.”

In February, Ranveer appeared on India’s Got Latent where one of his comments was seen as objectionable. Soon afterwards, there was a huge backlash on social media which led to Samay deleting all the episodes of India’s Got Latent. He also assured that he would be co-operating with the authorities.Story continues below this ad
At the time, Samay was in the middle of his tour in Canada and upon his return in March, he appeared before the cyber police in Mumbai. Shows of his comedy tour in India have also been cancelled since this controversy began.
