Assassin’s Creed Shadows – the 14th installment in Ubisoft’s most popular franchise of all time is set in 16th century Japan. Unlike previous games, Shadows has two protagons: Fujibayashi Naoe, a female shinobi, and Yasuke, an African samurai inspired a real figure the same name. These characters also have different gameplay style, which allows the players to approach quests in various ways.
For those wondering, Ubisoft has been financially struggling for quite some time now. Last year, Star Wars Outlaws, which the company spent a lot of money on, turned out to be a sales failure. In the last few months, rumour had that the Guillemot family, which founded Ubisoft was reportedly in talks with the Chinese gaming giant Tencent for a buyout deal.
