An active shooter has been reported at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee.
At least four victims have been hospitalised, according to local reports. Videos from the scene show a heavy police presence, with one clip capturing officers taking an individual into custody.
“An active shooter has been reported in the area of Student Union,” the university said in a post on X. “Police are on scene or on the way. Continue to seek shelter and await further instructions. Lock and stay away from all doors and windows and be prepared to take additional protective measures.”

Continue to shelter in place. Police have responded to an active shooter call at the Student Union. Stay alert for more information. Persons in need of immediate emergency assance should call 9-1-1 or FSUPD at 850-644-1234.
