Avengers Doomsday Movie Teaser Out: To the delight of fans worldwide, Captain America is officially returning to the Avengers universe in the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday. The newly released teaser for the film, which was initially screened exclusively alongside James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters, has now been unveiled to the public. The teaser confirms that Chris Evans will reprise his iconic role as Captain America.
The teaser opens with Steve Rogers riding a motorcycle up to his home as a piano rendition of the Avengers theme plays in the background. We then see him pulling out his costume out of a box to admire nostalgically. The teaser then shows him holding a newborn ba, looking on with pride, before concluding with a super that reads, “Steve Rogers will return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’”
Marvel Cinematic Universe fans last saw Steve Rogers in Avengers: Endgame, where he helped assemble the Avengers and played a crucial role in saving the world from Thanos. At the film’s conclusion, Steve passed on his Vibranium shield to Sam Wilson, also known as Falcon, played Anthony Mackie, officially naming him the new Captain America. Steve was then shown reunited with Peggy Carter, the love of his life, with strong implications that the two lived out a peaceful life together in another timeline, or possibly the original one.

The teaser raises several unanswered questions, particularly regarding which version of Steve Rogers audiences will see in Avengers: Doomsday, and which timeline the story will explore. The appearance of Steve holding a ba has also sparked speculation among fans, with many wondering whether the child could possess superhuman abilities. According to reports, Avengers: Doomsday will receive a total of four teasers in the coming weeks, with the final teaser expected to introduce Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Excitement has already been building around Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU in a villainous role. The film, also starring Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kir, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Channing Tatum and Pedro Pascal, among others, is scheduled to release on December 18, 2026, exactly one year after the debut of its first teaser.
