Axar Patel, wife Meha become parents, welcome ba boy | Cricket News

Indian allrounder Axar Patel on Tuesday took to social media to announce the arrival of his ba boy, Haksh Patel. Haksh is the first child of Axar and his wife Meha.
“He’s still figuring out the off side from the leg, but we couldn’t wait to introduce him to all of you in blue. World, welcome Haksh Patel, India’s smallest, yet biggest fan, and the most special piece of our hearts,” Axar wrote on Instagram and X.
In 2023, Patel had tied the knot with longtime beau Meha, a dietitian and nutrition, in a ceremony held in Vadodara. Reportedly, the couple took vows in a traditional Gujarati function, attended close friends and family.

Axar and Meha had gotten engaged in January 2022 after reportedly dating each other for a long time. Making their engagement official, Axar had posted a picture of the couple against a stunning proposal setup in the background. “Today is the new beginning of our life. Together and forever. Love you till eternity,” his caption had read.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Indian Express had reported that Axar had informed the BCCI that he will not available for the remainder of the India vs Australia Test series due to personal reasons, after Ravichandran Ashwin had announced retirement.
Thus, India have issued a maiden call-up to Mumbai off-spinner Tanush Kotian, who will join the team for the remaining two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, starting Melbourne.

The 26-year-old Kotian who won the Ranji Trophy last season and is part of Mumbai’s Vijay Hazare Trophy squad in Ahmedabad will leave for Australia on Tuesday.
