Babil Khan says he is not used to Bollywood, shares people who trolled him for being nice to paps now copy him: ‘I feel too much’ | Bollywood News

Babil Khan, who marked his acting debut with the film Qala in 2022, often describes himself as someone extremely shy. However, he doesn’t shy away from living his life on his own terms, away from the pressure of the industry he belongs to. At the beginning of his career, Babil was often trolled for his expressive nature. He would often be trolled for gifting chocolates to paps, and greeting them with respect and love. Now, the actor says, “he lives his life on his terms and doesn’t shy away from that.”
In an exclusive conversation with SCREEN, Babil said, “The people who trolled me for giving chocolates to paps are the same people who are now copying me. Now they all greet the paps, they are all giving chocolates and other stuff, I wonder, ‘Bhai tumne hi mera mazak udaya tha aur tum hi kar rahe ho yeh sab’. I fail to understand these people. It’s a hypocritical industry. We are all trying to just survive honestly.”
Babil said that he would pass judgements earlier, but eventually he realised that all these people are simply trying to survive in the industry.

“I cannot judge them because I know what people have been through. When I was new, I could pass judgements about others. But, now when I have first-hand experienced the pressure, anxiety and fear, which we mostly try to suppress, I cannot really judge anybody. They are all simply trying to survive. It is very difficult to survive in this industry. It is very painful.”

Babil, who lives his life with “full emotions”, said he is not used to the industry and simply lives his life his way. “I live my life the way I want to live it and nobody can stop me from doing that. I live with full emotions, I cry, I feel the hate, respond to the hate as well and I live my life. I am shy person but I don’t shy away from living my life.”
He added, “I am not used to the industry. I am not thick skinned, I feel too much. But, I love the people in it. They are really nice people who know how to protect themselves. I really need to learn that from them.”Story continues below this ad
When asked if this is the reason why he doesn’t attends parties or gets clicked paps anymore, Babil said, “At the start of my career, I used to go to a lot of parties but that was also the age that played a role. Now, my priorities have changed and it has nothing to do with the industry. I wanted to go out, scuba dive, I want to explore my life and not just live in that circle. I am not used to the lights, not used to cameras. I have given so much respect to things, and those things have fired back at me. But, still I am not used to it and I will never get used to it. I think that’s the point, you have to live through that anxiety, the pain, humiliation, embarrassment, happiness, joy, success, all of it. To live it is much more important than the outcome of it.”
Babil Khan is gearing up for the release of his film, Logout on April 18. The film will have a direct-to-OTT release on ZEE5.
