Baywatch actor Pamela Bach, ex-wife of David Hasselloff, dies suicide at 62 | Hollywood News

Baywatch and Castle Rock star, Pamela Bach has passed away the age of 62. The Los Angeles medical examiner’s office reports that she died Wednesday and determined her death was a suicide. Also known as Pamela Hasselhoff, Bach appeared on The Young and the Restless and met her future husband on the set of his series, Knight Rider.
“Our family is deeply saddened the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” Hasselhoff said in a statement. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Bach’s debut on the screen came due to a stroke of luck, when director Francis Ford Coppola was auditioning locals for his movie Rumble Fish(1983) and cast her. During her career the actor also worked as a theatre art in New York and modeled for the Ford Petite Modeling Company.

The Oklahoma native was one of the first actors to balance two different TV shows concurrently. She was working on shows Baywatch (1989) and Sirens (1993) simultaneously, and would travel between LA and Montreal to shoot her scenes for multiple seasons. Her role in the lifeguard drama Baywatch helped her make a mark on the minds of the audience. Interestingly Bach was an accredited lifeguard and a trained scuba diver as well.
Bach and Hasselhoff were married in December 1989 and had two daughters, Taylor and Hayley. Hasselhoff filed for divorce in January 2006, and the former couple had a contentious split, with Bach accusing him of domestic abuse.
A video of Hasselhoff drunkenly eating a burger led to him temporarily losing visitation privileges with his daughters, but they were restored after two weeks. The actor acknowledged the video, shot one of his daughters, showed him during an alcohol relapse, but he denied abuse allegations at the time. A message to David Hasselhoff’s representative was not immediately returned.
Bach is survived her two daughters Taylor-Ann Hasseloff and Hayley Hasseloff.
