BCCI to release 400,000 tickets in next phase of sales for 2023 ODI World Cup | Cricket News

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced that they will be releasing approximately 400,000 more tickets for the upcoming Cricket World Cup in India.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) acknowledges the high demand for tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. After discussions with the hosting state associations, the BCCI has announced the release of approximately 400,000 tickets for the highly anticipated tournament. This measure is aimed at accommodating as many passionate cricket fans as possible, ensuring their participation in this horic event,” a release from the cricket body revealed.Most Read

The general sale of tickets for all matches of will commence from 8:00 PM onwards on September 8 and fans can purchase tickets visiting https://tickets.cricketworldcup.com. They’ll then be notified of the further sale of tickets in the next phase in due course.

In the earlier phase, the ticket sales had commenced for warm-up and event games of all teams except India from August 28. From August 30, tickets for India’s warm-up games in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram were made available. A day later, tickets for India’s games in Chennai (vs Australia, Oct 8), Delhi (vs Afghanan, Oct 11) and Pune (vs Bangladesh, Oct 19) were released. From September 1, fans could buy tickets for the hosts’ ties in Dharamsala (vs New Zealand, Oct 22), Lucknow (vs England, Oct 29) and Mumbai (vs Sri Lanka, Nov 2).

On September 2, those for the Kolkata (vs South Africa, Nov 5) and Bengaluru (vs Netherlands, Nov 12) games were released.

Finally, on September 3, the tickets for the most in-demand game, India versus Pakan in Ahmedabad on October 14, were sold. Those for the semifinals and finals is due to start on September 15.
