A man in Bengaluru ditched a horse and arrived for his wedding on an Ather electric bike. He and others were seen dancing next to the electric vehicle (EV) at the baraat, or the arrival party for the groom. The groom too reacted after the photo went viral. “Got the Rizta for my Rishta,” he wrote on X, reacting to a user’s comment. See the viral post on X: Tarun Mehta, co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy, said the groom wanted to make his baraat entry on Rizta and thus, the company made it happen. “So this happened last weekend. Darshan wanted to make his baraat entry on Rizta and we had to make it happen for his grand entrance. And, why not? Rizta is all about family,” he wrote on X, sharing moments from the baraat. Ather Energy too dropped a witty comment from its official X account. “Horses trot, but we prefer the watt. For a wedding day that’s truly keen, ride Ather and keep it clean,” the EV-maker wrote. All about Ather RiztaThe Ather Rizta family electric vehicle was launched last month. It is priced at ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), with bookings beginning from ₹999. The two-wheeler, which has a waiting period of around three months, is expected to be begin deliveries from July.
