BHOPAL: Probably the first of its kind, an all women Gurudwara committee has come into existence due to the thoughts of office bearers of Arera colony Gurudwara in Bhopal. On Sunday, the working committee was formed, which has all women members, who will look after all the administrative, financial and other works of Gurudwara.
Inderjeet Kaur has been appointed as the chairperson of the management committee. The decision was taken by seniors of Gurudwara for the first time in history to handover all responsibilities to women and has come ahead of International Women’s day, after which Kaur with team of 12 other women took charge on Sunday.
During the oath ceremony Kaur assured the proper and good working of management and a Langar was organized later. These women has been chosen by the seniors as they have been associated with Gurudwara since long and have been participating in all kinds of activities to make it better.
Other members include, Prakash Kaur Khanuja as vice chairperson, Arvinder Kaur Arora (Secretary), Kamaldeep kaur Saluja, Daljit Kaur Narula (Tresurar), Amarjeet Kaur tulsi, Surjeet Kaur Sabarwal, Surjeet Kaur Virak, Gurcharan Kaur Chandok, Paramjeet Kaur Gandhi, Gurpreet kaur sahani, Bibi Jyoti Kamdar and Bibi Neelam Jaggi.
