Manika, Sreeja in action-Schedule, Where to Watch

Top Indian women paddlers Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula will represent the country at the 43rd ITTF Singles World Cup starting tomorrow in Macao, China.
The tournament is scheduled from April 14th to 20th and will feature no Indian male paddlers as they failed to qualify for the event for the third straight edition.
In the previous edition of the tournament, Manika and Sreeja were the only Indian paddlers, and both were knocked out in the group stage.

For the 2025 edition, Manika is placed in Group 16 alongside Bruna Takahashi of Brazil and Maylis Giret of New Caledonia, while Sreeja is placed in Group 9 alongside Bernadette Szocs of Romania and Constantina Psihogios of Australia.
Ranked 30 in the world, Manika will face Bruna in a virtual knockout of the group and is expected to win against Giret. Similarly, Sreeja is expected to get the better of Constantina but will face tough competition against Berandette.
Format of ITTF Singles World Cup 2025
The tournament is played in a group and knockout format. Both men’s and women’s events have 48 players each. The players are divided into 16 groups of three players each in the first stage of the competition.
Each group match has four games with possible outcomes 4-0, 3-1, or 2-2. The group winners progress to the knockout stage. In the knockout stage, the tournament starts from the round of 16 and has best-of-seven matches.Story continues below this ad

There is no official TV broadcast for the tournament, but all the action of the 2025 ITTF World Cup will be live-streamed on the ITTF World YouTube Channel.
