Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni came within a hair’s breath in handing his team a thrilling victory against Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday. With 21 to get from the last over, Dhoni would hit pacer Sandeep Sharma for two sixes but a well placed yorker in the last ball would give the Royals a narrow 3-run victory.
On Thursday, CSK shared a video of Dhoni with a slight limp as he made his way out of the field after the match was over titled, “A warrior. A veteran. A champion – The One and Only!”
CSK coach Stephen Fleming also confirmed that Dhoni was nursing a knee injury. “He is nursing a knee injury which you can see in some of his movement, hindering him somewhat.
