Salman Khan’s bodyguard, Shera, recently lost his father, Sunder Singh Jolly, to cancer. He was 88. On Sunday, a prayer meet was organised at a gurudwara in Mumbai to honour Shera’s late father. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Bob Deol, Daisy Shah, Maniesh Paul, Rahul Vaidya and Mika Singh, attended the ceremony to pay their last respects to Sunder Singh.
In videos from the prayer meet, Bob Deol can be seen entering the gurudwara. Upon spotting Shera at the entrance, the star actor greets him with a warm hug, offering comfort during this difficult time. Singer Rahul Vaidya was also present at the final ardas, alongside Maniesh Paul, Daisy Shah, Mika Singh, and several other industry figures, all of whom came to show their support for Shera and his family.

Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, is more than just a bodyguard to Salman Khan and has been like family to the Bollywood superstar since 1995. Salman also stood Shera during the difficult time and was present at the funeral. As Salman stepped out of his vehicle at Shera’s residence, the latter greeted him at the entrance, and the two shared an emotional hug before Salman went inside to pay his respects.
On Thursday, Shera took to his social media handles to share the heartbreaking news of his father’s demise. His statement read, “My father Shri Sunder Singh Jolly has left for heavenly abode today.” He also provided details about the final rites, writing, “The last journey will start at 4 PM from my residence 1902, The Park Luxury Residences, Off Lokhandwala Back Road, Oshiwara, Andheri West, Mumbai.”
