Boria Majumdar banned from Indian cricket for two years for ‘threatening, intimidating’ Wriddhiman Saha

Journal Boria Majumdar has effectively been banned from Indian cricket for two years after he was found guilty of bullying, threatening and intimidating wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha after the latter was dropped from the Test squad.
The committee of BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and councillor Prabhtej Singh Bhatia agreed with the charges brought Saha against Majumdar and recommended to the BCCI Apex Committee that for two years, the journal be
– Banned from getting accreditation as a member of the press in any match (domestic or international) in India
– Banned from getting any interviews with regered players in India; and
– Banned from access to any of BCCI or member association-owned cricket facilities.
The Apex Committee has accepted the probe panel’s recommendations.
The said interaction between Saha and Majumdar occurred on Twitter, after which BCCI decided to probe the matter to avoid a repeat of similar instances with other players.
