Before presenting the Budget 2024-25, President Droupadi Murmu extended her best wishes to Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Miner of Finance and Corporate Affairs. As a symbol of goodwill, the President offered Sitharaman a spoonful of dahi cheeni (sweet curd).
