Just hours prior to Trump’s ceasefire gambit, the US forces at the Al Udeid air base in Qatar came under attack overnight as the conflict between Israel and Iran intensified late Monday. Tehran’s retaliation came in response to US bombing three key Iranian nuclear bases, however, Qatar said that they intercepted all missiles successfully.The “complete and total” ceasefire announced the US President, set to be phased in the next 24 hours, is in effect, Iranian state TV said Monday morning.
Israeli Prime Miner Benjamin Netanyahu accepted the ceasefire, saying that the goal of removing Tehran’s nuclear and ballic missile threat was achieved. Israeli military reported that about six waves of fresh missiles Iran have claimed three lives so far.

1) What happened in Qatar overnight?
Flares were seen on Monday night over Qatar’s capital Doha, and loud explosions were heard from several areas in the city as Iran targeted the Al Udeid air base. Qatar, however, said that all the missiles were intercepted their air defence system and till now, no casualties have been reported from the attack.
Qatar said that 19 missiles were fired from Iran, but only one hit the Al Udeid air base, which is the largest US air base in the region. Iran said in a statement that the missiles were not aimed at any residential areas and didn’t pose any threat to Qatar.

Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted the World.”

3) What did Iran say after Trump’s ceasefire agreement?
Uncertainty looms after Donald Trump’s ceasefire announcement as Iran on Tuesday morning rejected the cessation of military, and called Tehran’s strike against the Al Udeid air base successful.
Iranian Foreign Miner Seyed Abbas Araghchi posted on X shortly after the Trump’s ceasefire announcement that there is “no agreement” regarding the cessation of military.Story continues below this ad
Araghchi said in a statement, “As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around. As of now, there is NO “agreement” on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations.”
“However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards. The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later,” he added.
4) Iran attacks Israel hours after ceasefire announcement
Mere hours after Trump announced a “complete ceasefire” between Israel and Iran on Monday night, Tehran launched a fresh barrage of missiles against Israel on Tuesday morning. A residential building in south Israel sustained heavy damage, and three people have been killed so far in the early morning strikes, reported AP.

5) What has happened so far in Israel-Iran war?
Israel on June 13 launched Operation Rising Lion, targeting Iran’s nuclear and military bases with multiple strikes overnight, leading to multiple casualties. Israel continued to rain a barrage of missiles against Iran in order to stop the country from developing its nuclear programme.
Iran launched retaliatory strikes against Tel Aviv, killing dozens and causing significant damage to structures. Meanwhile, the United States government showed its complete support to Israel, urging Iran to stop their nuclear development and sign the deal put forward the US.
Days into the Iran-Israel conflict, the United States launched Operation Midnight Hammer against Tehran, targeting its nuclear facilities via a barrage of missiles. Over the weekend, US dropped bombs on two underground uranium enrichment facilities in Iran in order to blow the country’s nuclear programme.
While US said that the success of the strikes was still being assessed, Iran said that no significant damage has been reported.
