Madhya Pradesh BJP’s 4-day training begins in Indore
INDORE: Ahead of assembly elections slated in 2018, Madhya Pradesh BJP on Monday started a four-day training programme for its functionaries here on Monday, which the party claimed was aimed at arming its workers with tools that ensure their active role in implementing party plans.
The training programme is seen as groundwork by BJP in arming its party leaders with ways to utilise people-centric initiatives by the centre and state government in moving masses in its favour.
BJP state president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan denied that the training was connected to elections, but in the same breath said, “In politics, elections are the most important event. If the training makes our army (workers) active and updated, we will get political advantage in elections.”
The entire ministry of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP functionaries and executive committee members, morcha and cell functionaries, mayors and civic body chairpersons, have gathered under one roof to take part in the rigorous sessions, many of which will be addressed by senior RSS leaders.
Nandkumar Singh Chouhan maintained that this was the state-level training session, held after district and division level meetings and a part of national campaign launched by BJP president Amit Shah.
But the state party president was clear about reiterating: “We will contest 2018 assembly polls under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan and 2019 Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Narendra Modi.”
Shivraj Singh Chouhan led the first day by inaugurating the training programme and trained guns at ‘elements’ attempting to dub BJP’s efforts to usher growth and development among people of the vountry, by indulging into divisive politics.
“BJP governments are making sustained efforts for ushering India’s prosperity, strength and pride, all those forces, who want to destroy the country culturally, break it.., have become active,” Chouhan said, at the inaugural session speaking on ‘Cultural nationalism and BJP’s working procedures’.
“The BJP workers should be vigilant in this regard and not allow such forces to divide India on basis of caste and society,” the chief minister added.
He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives like Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Start-up india, Digital India, and asked workers to ensure that his efforts do go futile. “Our ideological organization will have to play an important role in rebuilding of nation. Our role is not limited to running governments, but to take up the cause of development of all,” he said.
The four-day training programme will see a plethora of speakers addressing various issues including BJP functionaries like Ramlal, V Satish, Murlidhar Rao, Ram Madhav and Kailash Vijayvargiya.
