China hits back at US with additional 84% tariffs starting April 10 | World News

China will raise tariffs on a wide range of US goods to 84 per cent starting Thursday, a sharp escalation from the previously announced 34 per cent, the country’s finance minry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The move comes in direct retaliation to President Donald Trump’s staggering 104 per cent on Chinese imports, which is set to take effect today.
The new tariffs imposed on 57 target countries, territories and blocs include rates of 20 per cent on the EU, 26 per cent on India and 49 per cent on Cambodia.
