Chouhan pays tribute to Maharaja Chhatrasal
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to Maharaja Chhatrasal on his anniversary and paid floral tribute by garlanding his portrait in the auditorium at the residence office.
Maharaja Chhatrasal was born in 1649. He was a great warrior of the Middle Ages, who defeated the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb in battle and established his kingdom in Bundelkhand and attained the title of ‘Maharaja’.
The life of Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundela was spent fighting for the establishment of the independence of Bundelkhand.
He faced attacks till the end of his life. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has tweeted by quoting inspiring lines which are said about Bundelkhand Kesari, the great warrior, Maharaja Chhatrasal, on his anniversary- “It Yamuna, Ut Narmada, It Chambal, Ut Tons. Chhatrasal son Laran ki, Rahi na Kahu ko Hauns.”
