Chouhan plants saplings of Peepal, Neem and Kadamba
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Peepal, Neem and Kadamba saplings in the Smart City Garden. Mamtesh Sharma, Vinod Parnami, Rajneesh Tripathi, Atul Dubey, Amarnath Sharma and Roopraj Sharma of Krishna Pranami Mandir Samiti Shivaji Nagar Bhopal also planted saplings. Anurag Upadhyay of Dakhal News YouTube channel and Sunil Shrivastava, Bureau Chief of IND TV also participated in the plantation. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Chouhan is constantly motivating the people of the state to plant saplings on birthdays, marriage anniversaries etc.
Under the banner of the Mandir, Samiti is continuously carrying out service-oriented works like food donation, Sarthak Deepawali, mission education, plantation, come help the birds, earthen Ganesha, Gau-kashtha (cow dung log), public awareness and depositing fees of talented children of poor families. For the last seven years, blood donation camps have also been organised by the Samiti for Hamidia Blood Bank on New Year’s Eve.
Importance of plants
Peepal planted today is a shady tree. It purifies the environment. It has religious and Ayurvedic significance. Abounding in antibiotic elements, neem is recognised as the supreme medicine. Kadamba is well-known in Ayurveda for its medicinal properties. Its flowers have special significance. The fragrant flowers of Kadamba find a mention in ancient Vedas and compositions.
