Chouhan to launch Jal Sansad and Jalabhishek campaign

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch state level Jal Sansad and Jalabhishek Abhiyan on April 11.

The programme will begin from 12 noon in Kahula village of Gairatganj tehsil of Raisen district. Chief Minister Chouhan will launch 10 thousand works in 5009 Amrit Sarovars and Pushkar Dharohar Samridhi Abhiyan. Along with this, the Chief Minister will also launch Jal Shakti Abhiyan in 60 development blocks of the state.

According to the schedule, Chief Minister Chouhan will perform kanya-pujan at the programme venue after visiting Mata Mandir in Kahula village at 12 noon. Chouhan will then inaugurate the programme in Raisen district along with bhoomi-pujan and Kalash-pujan of the selected pond under Amrit Sarovar Yojana.

Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Mahendra Singh Sisodia will present the outline of the programme. At 12:40 pm, Chief Minister Chouhan will administer the oath of water-conservation and water-promotion to all those present in the Jal Sansad. This will be followed by the launch of Amrit Sarovar and Pushkar Dharohar Samridhi Abhiyan and unveiling of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Prabhuram Choudhary, Cooperatives Minister Arvind Bhadauria, local MPs and MLAs will be present in the programme.

Before the state level programme, gram sabhas will be organized in all the gram panchayats of the state. In this, new works of water conservation and ground water augmentation will be launched. Along with this, Jal Yatras will also be taken out. The state level programme of Jalabhishek will also be broadcast live through various media.
