CM Chouhan pays tribute to Radhakrishnan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid tributes to the former President of India, eminent educationist and philosopher Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his death anniversary. Chief Minister Chouhan paid floral tribute by garlanding his picture in the auditorium at his residence office.

Dr. Radhakrishnan’s birthday is celebrated on September 5 as Teacher’s Day all over India. He spent 40 years of his life as a teacher. Radhakrishnan was awarded the country’s highest decoration “Bharat Ratna” for his outstanding contribution to education and politics.

He considered education to be an effective means to eradicate social evils. Radhakrishnan introduced the world to Indian philosophy through his articles and speeches. He was the first Vice President and second President of independent India. Radhakrishnan left for his heavenly abode on April 17, 1975.
