CM inaugurates ‘Rozgar Utsav’
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the state level ‘Rozgar Utsav’ at a programme organized at Minto Hall in Bhopal on Wednesday. Chief Minister Chouhan said that constant efforts will be made to ensure that every hand has work. Youth should work with high spirits, the government stands with them.
Chouhan said that efforts have been made to fix the economy that has deteriorated in the Corona period at a rapid pace. We have paved the way instead of whining over financial stringency, this is also the responsibility of the government and those at the helm. Lack of funds will not be allowed to hamper economic activities. Almost Rs 82,000 crore has been transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries under various schemes in the state.
Chouhan said that a large part of the government’s budget is spent on the distribution of salaries and development works are also done from this budget, but there can be no compromise on this.
It is the government’s priority to train the youth according to demand and requirement of the market. Keeping this in mind, economic activities have been promoted in the state through infrastructure, agriculture, food processing, horticulture etc.
The work of utilization of minerals and promotion of local products is in progress. More than 100 employment fairs have also been organized in the last few months. The work was started with the aim that one lakh youth get jobs every month and 12 lakh youth get self-employed in a year. Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh will be created with the aim of giving new life to youth by providing them means of livelihood.
The Chief Minister said that local skills will be promoted in the state. The lamp used on Deepawali should not come from China. Only the goods manufactured in India should be used and we should work to make the local vocal. The Bagh print of Madhya Pradesh, the sarees of Chanderi, the iron products manufactured by the Agariya community are well-known. Under the “Ek Zila, Ek Utpad”, the government is making attempts to make products and special items of the districts available to the international market. All these efforts are making the path of employment and economic prosperity easier.
Chouhan said that skill training will be imparted from Global Skill Park in Bhopal to 6 thousand youths in the first year and then 10 thousand youths every year . It will be an international level skill park which is targeted to be built by the year 2022. Its construction which was stalled in the year 2019 has been revived. Arrangements have been made to train youth in the divisional headquarters of the state through model ITI. Old schemes are being re-packaged. Shortage of funds will not hamper these works. All necessary facilities will be provided for investment. Recently, 20 industrial units in the state have given employment to 4,000 youth. These efforts will continue.
Chouhan said that job cards have been made available to 32 lakh new labourers in the state. Employment has also been provided to about 92 lakh labourers . This work done in the year 2020-21 also became the biggest employment campaign in the history of the state.
