CM launches 325 tap water schemes
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government is determined to save the poor with the all-round development of the State. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being run for every poor family of the State to have their own house.
Considering the problem of sand in housing construction for the beneficiaries of the scheme, the sand policy will be changed soon, in which the beneficiary will be given sand free to build his house.
Chouhan was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying program of development works in Chitrangi of Singrauli district on Monday.
Chouhan inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 325 tap water schemes of Jal Jeevan Yojana. The total cost of these group water schemes being constructed by Jal Jeevan Mission is Rs 1663 crore.
Chouhan distributed benefits to the beneficiaries from Ujjwala Yojana, Livelihood Mission and Village Industries Department.
Chouhan said that tap water schemes are being given to Singrauli district including Chitrangi under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Sisters and daughters will no longer have to go to fetch water from handpumps and wells. Pure water will reach the house from the tap.
The Chief Minister inaugurated four buildings costing Rs. 17 crore 26 lakh 37 thousand. These include Jagannath Singh Smriti College Bhawan, District Education and Training Institute Bhawan Baidhan, Government College Bhawan Sarai and Government Higher Secondary School Bhawan Bardi.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that from next session, B.Sc and B.Com will also be studied in the college along with BA. A sub-tehsil office will be set up in Dudhamania if required. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a symbol of development. He has given the benefit of many development schemes to the poor.
He said that as per the demand of the people of the area, all the required roads including the mini stadium will be constructed here.
Chouhan said that the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are facing a lot of difficulties as they get sand for building their houses at very high prices. He announced that P.M. Free supply of sand will be provided to the beneficiaries of Awas Yojana. For this, the sand policy will also be changed.
