CM Shivraj Chouhan to Address Candidates on Counting Day Precautions on Dec 9
Bhopal: Ahead of the announcement of results in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan will address the party candidates over counting day precautions on Sunday.
The session which was scheduled to be held at the chief minister’s house on Saturday was postponed on Thursday evening as he left for a three-day trip to Bandhavgarh tiger reserve and is expected to return to Bhopal around noon on Saturday.
Sources claim that besides sharing tips on counting day precautions, CM Chouhan would also seek feedback from the candidates on polling.
Chouhan will address the candidates through video conferencing at 11am on December 9 in the presence of state party head Rakesh Singh.
Asked about cancellation of candidates’ meet, BJP spokesperson Deepak Vijayvargiya claimed that the party never announced any meeting so he could not comment on the cancellation issue.
“We would speak to our polling agents and district heads and it’s our internal party matter,” added Vijayvargiya.
On the contrary, Congress had convened candidates’ meet over counting day preparations chaired by MPCC head Kamal Nath with great pomp and show in Bhopal on Thursday.
Nath had shared tips about being vigilant against any possible anomalies during counting and measures to counter these anomalies, if any.
The counting of votes and announcement of results takes place in MP on Dec 11.
