CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurates Police Kala Mahotsav in Bhopal
The three day Police Kala Mahotsav was inaugurated recently by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Bharat Bhawan. The program opened with an exhibition highlighting the services rendered by the police officials in the form of paintings, poems, photographs and sculptures along with a play titled Vardiwale.
A rare collection of books from the police headquarters was also kept on display for the exhibition. The collection included books from 1867 till post-independence. German box cameras invented in 1954 and paintings highlighting the tough life of police officials, made by students and artists from various states, were also on display.
Directed by Ashok Bulani and written by Vijay Shankar Mehta, Vardiwale, based on a true incident that happened in Ujjain around 20 years ago, saw mature acting and perfect dialogue delivery, thereby leaving the audiences spellbound.
