CM urges people to be wary amid surge in Covid-19 cases
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that increasing cases of Covid is a matter of concern not only in our country but in many countries of the world. After three months of lockdown, 55,000 cases have been reported in Britain. Cases of corona are increasing rapidly in other countries of the world as well.
In our country too, the positivity rate in many districts has not been less than ten percent. So it is clear that the virus still exists. Positive cases are coming fast in the South and Northeast States. Cases are increasing day by day in many places. Chouhan said that it is my appeal to the people of the state not to get careless towards corona. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said this after planting saplings in Smart City Park today.
Chouhan said that 78 thousand tests were conducted in the state yesterday, out of which 18 tested positive. As many as 11 tested positive in the tests conducted day before yesterday, 11 positives came. Hence, it is clear that the virus still lurks in the state. People are still testing positive. If we remain careless, it will be like inviting the third wave.
Chouhan said that all possible efforts are being made to prevent Corona infection. The work of conducting maximum tests, tracing contacts of positive cases and keeping them in isolation is on in the state. Vaccination campaign is also being carried out continuously in the state. The state government is also proactive in setting up necessary arrangements in hospitals to face the third wave of Corona.
Chouhan said that the most effective way to prevent third wave is to adopt Corona appropriate behaviour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the World Health Organization and the Health Department are also repeatedly urging to follow Corona appropriate behaviour. People of the state have been urged to remain serious about it.
