CM urges people to get both doses of vaccines

In his message to the people of the State on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that they should protect themselves, family, State and country by getting both the doses of corona vaccine. This would be a true gift from brothers to sisters.

Chouhan said that along with regular vaccination in the state, a vaccination mega campaign would be launched on August 25 and 26. Every eligible person above the age of 18 years must get both the doses.

Chouhan said that in the vaccination mega campaign, the first and second doses of corona vaccine would be administered on August 25 and the second dose on August 26 at the designated centres.

The Chief Minister has appealed to the general public including all corona volunteers, public representatives, voluntary organisations, religious leaders, social workers, various organisations to extend their full cooperation in this vaccination mega campaign and make it a complete success.

Chouhan said that corona has been controlled in the state, but not completely eradicated. Cases of corona are still coming. No need to panic. Take utmost care and behave Covid friendly.

Chouhan said that vaccine is a strong protection cycle against corona. Scientists have told that the vaccine gives 93 percent protection against corona. But for this it is necessary to have both the doses of corona within the prescribed time period. This vaccine will be fully effective only if both doses are taken.

Chouhan said that 60 percent eligible persons have got the first dose of corona vaccine in the state, but only 12 percent have got the second dose. Those who have got Covishield vaccine should get the second dose after 84 days and those who have got Covaxine after 28 days without fail.
