CMCs to have last word on school opening for class XI, XII from July 26, says Chouhan
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that final decision on opening of schools for Class XIth and XIIth from July 26 will be taken by the Crisis Management Committees.
Schools can begin operating in the districts where there are no cases of corona. But in this regard, Crisis Management Committees, Ministers in-charge of the districts, District Collector can hold discussions and begin operating the schools by taking people into confidence.
Children should not called to school without the permission of their parents. Parental consent will be required for children to come to school. Chouhan was addressing a meeting organized regarding Corona control at Mantralaya.
Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Prabhuram Choudhary, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and Director General of Police Vivek Johri were present in the meeting. In-charge ministers and officers in-charge of all the districts participated virtually in the meeting.
Chouhan said that the operation of Class XIth and XIIth should be started from July 26 with 50 percent capacity. Initially, classes should be conducted one day at a time on an experimental basis. From the first week of August, classes should be conducted for two days with 50 percent capacity. Fifty percent of the students of the class should come on the first two days and the remaining 50 percent on the next two days. In this way, in a week only four days of school will be held. Chouhan said that it will be necessary to maintain social distancing by sitting in alternate chairs, wearing mask, use of sanitizer and 100 percent adherence to Corona appropriate behaviour.
The Chief Minister said that now restaurants can be opened till 11 pm. Curfew will continue from 11 pm to 6 am. Chouhan instructed all the in-charge ministers that crowded events should not be organized. Small events are allowed, but 100 percent adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour should be ensured. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan while lauding the programme organized in Burhanpur in adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour said that by presenting such examples in events, the public can be motivated to adopt Covid appropriate behavior. Chouhan directed that all industrial units of the state should ensure 100 percent vaccination of its employees and labourers in private hospitals.
In view of the possibilities of third wave of Corona, a presentation was given on the possibility of infection in the state, vaccination campaign, ongoing preparations regarding resources, oxygen supply, availability of human resource and training etc. in hospitals in this meeting which was focused on the ongoing preparations in the state, in view of the current situation of Corona infection and the situation of infection in the country and the world.
