CMF Phone 2 Pro to be headlined 50MP main sensor, 50MP telephoto camera | Technology News

The upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro will feature a triple-rear camera system, Nothing revealed on Friday, April 18. The latest smartphone from the CMF stable will be launched on April 28 in India. The new CMF Phone 2 Pro will be headlined a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.57 sensor, which the company claims is the largest in the segment. 
The London-based smartphone maker shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), giving a glimpse of the upcoming device. The post shows the camera module against the bright orange backdrop of the smartphone. Along with the main camera, the device also features an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119.5 degree field of view, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, which it claims to be first in the segment. 
When it comes to build quality, the smartphone is ultra slim and light and follows the design language of its predecessor. The CMF Phone 2 Pro will also be the first device from Nothing to come with a charger in the box.

On performance the CMF Phone 2 Pro is backed a 5G MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset which offers upgraded performance. The company claims that when compared with the CMF Phone 1,  the new chipset offers up to 10 per cent faster CPU, up to five per cent graphics improvement. Moreover, it features MediaTek 6th Generation NPU with up to 4.8 TOPS AI computing power. The phone is also likely to sport a 5,000 mAh battery and the brand is likely to launch CMF Buds 2 along with the smartphone. 
Besides, the brand seems to be posturing the upcoming smartphone as a device that excels at gaming performance. It sports 120 FPS BGMI Gaming, over 53 per cent network boost, 1,000Hz touch sampling rate. 
The sub-brand of Nothing introduced in 2023, launched its maiden smartphone CMF Phone 1 on July 2, 2024 along with CMF Buds Pro 2, and CMF Watch Pro 2. The devices from CMF stood out owing to their bold choice of colours and focus on sustainable materials. The brand’s name stands for colour, material, and finish. With this, Nothing aims to make high design standards accessible to all.
